NOC Rafting and Cabin Packages
We don't need to tell you that Western North Carolina has some of the earth's finest whitewater rafting setting in serine mountain terrain. Guest’s can now save time and money by booking their Rafting experience with the famous NOC along with their cabin of choice in a package deal. You will save 10% off rafting tickets booking this way and we will take care of schedule to save you time.
Option 1: The Nantahala Whitewater Rafting half-day trip is great for families and couples with its class II and III rapids and is one of America’s most popular whitewater runs! The professional guides will take care of your group through the entire experience to ensure your safety and memories. Participants will cover 8 miles on the river taking approximately 2 hours on the water.

What to Bring / Wear for a Rafting Adventure
NOC Provides the Following White Water Gear:
- Paddle
- Personal Floatation Device (PFD)
- Helmet (not requred by the USFS on the Nantahala River.)
- Splash Jacket and pants
- Wetsuits and booties
What You Should Wear Rafting:
- Swim Trunks/Swimsuit
- Water Shoes or Old Sneakers (Footwear is required)
- T-shirt and Shorts
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses with a Strap
For Spring and Fall trips:
- Synthetic or Wool Sweater
- Wool Socks
- Knit Hat
Don't Forget to Bring:
- A Change of Clothes and Shoes
- Towels for Everyone

Driving Directions
Driving Directions: Nantahala Outpost from Sunset Farm Cabins
Trips on the Nantahala River begin and end at our Main Campus on the Nantahala River. This outpost is located in far Western North Carolina on US Highway 19, From the cabins drive west on highway 74 and continue approximately 12 miles west of Bryson City, on the south side of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
